On the 16th, the MTR Corporation said that the trial operation of the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail has been successfully completed, and the high-speed rail West Kowloon Station will hold its first open day on September 1 and 2 for the public to visit

Secretary for Transport and Housing of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Chen Fan, announced that after testing, acceptance and inspection by the MTR Corporation and relevant government departments in the past few months, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the HKSAR Government has confirmed to the MTR Corporation on the 15th that the construction of the Hong Kong section of the high-speed rail has reached a safe and good state and can be put into service, and is expected to open in late September
.
The MTR Corporation said that the SAR government's confirmation of the safety of the Hong Kong section of the high-speed rail is good, indicating that all statutory testing has been completed, which is another big step
towards opening.
To give the public a sneak peek before the opening of the high-speed rail, Kowloon West Station will hold its first Open House
on 1 and 2 September.
During the open day, members of the public can learn about the new facilities at the station and learn more about the high-speed rail service
through an exhibition that introduces the national high-speed rail network and its benefits.
Open House tickets will be distributed
free of charge to the public at various locations in Hong Kong from 9am on 25 August.
