On April 27, the National Energy Solar Power R&D (Experimental) Center successfully carried out the first high-voltage ride-through test
of photovoltaic inverters in China.
The test is based on the revised State Grid Corporation enterprise standard "Technical Regulations for Connecting Photovoltaic Power Stations to the Power Grid", and the measured photovoltaic inverter capacity reaches 500 kilowatts
.
With the continuous increase of the proportion of large-scale photovoltaic power generation in the power grid, the fault traversal ability of photovoltaic power stations is becoming more and more important
.
In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid, the new standard clearly requires for the first time that photovoltaic power stations should have a high-voltage ride-through function and the ability to
inject reactive current during the traversal process.
The test platform used in this test work is independently developed by the center, and by improving the capabilities of the original low-voltage ride-through test platform, the high/low voltage fault ride-through integrated test
function of photovoltaic inverters is realized 。 The test platform is designed based on the principle of impedance/resistance-capacitance voltage division, and the rated capacity of the platform is 4000 kVA, which meets the fault traversal curve setting required by the current grid-connected guidelines of various countries around the world; It can simulate three-phase symmetrical, two-phase and single-phase voltage drop and lift conditions, the duration is flexible and controllable, and the performance indicators reach the international leading level, which will provide technical support for the safe and stable operation of power grids and large-scale photovoltaic power plants, and provide important test means
for the technological progress of photovoltaic inverters.
