Zhang Lihe, the winner of the first Chinese Chemical Society Life Chemistry Achievement Award, is a professor at Peking University School of Pharmacy and honorary director of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Natural Medicines and Biomimetic Medicines

Academician Zhang Lihe has made outstanding achievements in nucleic acid chemistry and nucleic acid-targeted drug research.
He is a pioneer and leader in the discipline of chemical biology in China.
He is mainly engaged in the research of nucleic acid chemistry and anti-tumor and anti-viral drugs

He systematically studied the chemical and biological activities and structure-activity relationship of the intracellular messenger molecules cADPR and cAMP and found that 8-chloroadenosine is a new anticancer agent with low toxicity acting on the signal transduction system and can induce differentiation of tumor cells.
;Research on the mechanism of enzymatic nucleic acid cleavage of nucleic acid chains, the properties of artificially modified oligonucleotides and their recognition of nucleic acids, and the antitumor and antiviral activities of various nucleosides, nucleotides and their conjugates made outstanding contributions in the field

Liu Kai, winner of the Life Chemistry Youth Innovation Award of the Chinese Chemical Society, is a tenured associate professor, distinguished researcher, and doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University.
He has worked in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University.
