On October 4, local time, the first "carbon-neutral" synthetic kerosene production plant was inaugurated in Wirt County, Emsland, Lower Saxony, Germany

The plant operator, Atmosfield, said that this is the first time in the world that synthetic kerosene has been produced on an industrial scale.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a video speech at the opening ceremony: “In order to achieve the goal of producing 200,000 tons of green kerosene per year by 2030, we need to substantially increase production capacity
