of "5G + power".
On March 4, 2021, Jiangsu's first "5G + smart charging pile" integrating car charging, 5G micro-station, smart lighting, video surveillance and other functions was put into operation
at the Xuxian Road fast charging station in Gaoyou City, Yangzhou.
The "5G + power" refers to the construction of 5G micro-stations on charging piles, which is another practice of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power to help the construction of 5G networks, which can not only save about 70% of investment, but also do not occupy additional land resources

Compared with traditional macro base stations that need to build towers, 5G micro base stations have the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, small land occupation, and high sharing rate, and can cover densely populated areas
that cannot be accurately reached by macro base stations.
According to reports, in the next step, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power will cooperate with municipal planning, combined with the construction of new charging stations, and comprehensively promote such "5G + intelligent charging piles"
