Adam Ezzamel, Project Director at EOWDC at Swedish Waterfall Energy, said: "This is an ambitious offshore feat involving industry-first technology, innovative design and construction methods
    .
Throughout the construction process, the project team and contractors encountered and solved many challenges
    .
The final turbine installation is an important milestone, and with the array cables due in a few days, we will enter the final commissioning phase of the wind farm, which will generate electricity
for the first time later this summer.

Flemming Ougaard, Chief Operating Officer of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries-Vestas, added: "We are delighted to see that the last turbine has been safely installed in Aberdeen Bay
    .
With clean electricity soon to flow from all 11 wind turbines to the national grid, we are very much looking forward to the operation and service
of the new offshore wind farm.
    " “

    The 93.
2 MW EOWDC scheduled to generate electricity this summer will produce more than 70% of Aberdeen's domestic electricity demand, reducing emissions by 134128 tonnes of CO2
    per year.
