On June 13, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China officially approved the third phase construction plan of urban rail transit in Fuzhou City (2016-2022) and the environmental impact report
of line network planning.
The EIA covers Lines 6, 7, 8 and S1, with a construction scale of 143.
8 kilometers and a total of 109 stations, and the EIA covers about 71.
9 kilometers of lines except lines that have undergone EIAs and lines
whose station locations are not stable.
The third phase of rail transit construction planning and line network planning environmental assessment have been approved, which will lay a good foundation
for the approval of construction planning.
Next, Suzhou Rail Transit will improve and conscientiously implement various countermeasures to prevent or mitigate adverse environmental impacts on the basis of further optimizing the planning plan according to the report and approval opinions, and effectively control the adverse environmental impacts
that may be generated by the implementation of the plan.
