During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the cumulative installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaic power in the five southern provinces and regions including Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan increased by 22%, 115%, and 1070%, respectively, compared with the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, China Southern Power Grid completed and put into production six key projects including Kunliulong DC and Yungui Interconnection.

At the same time, China Southern Power Grid promotes a green and low-carbon transition, gives full play to the role of large-scale grid resource optimization, and continues to carry out special actions for clean energy consumption, leading the country in clean energy consumption

With the joint efforts of all parties, the carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP in the five southern provinces in 2020 will be reduced by 51% compared with 2005, laying a solid foundation for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutral goals
