    WFN Strategies has been awarded a contract by Canada's Kativik Regional Government to provide a cable path survey
    for the proposed Eastern Arctic Undersea Fiber Optic Network (EAUFON).

    in multiple communities in Canada's Nunavik region.

    WFN Strategies said EAUFON was originally scheduled to be operational in 2020, followed by multiple feeder extensions

    While final funding has not yet been approved, initial preparations have begun to expedite the process
    of conducting a pathway survey in open water in 2018.
