“At present, China’s phosphogypsum stock has exceeded 500 million tons, and about 80 million tons are added every year , and the output is mainly concentrated in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
Zhang Xuwu, deputy director of the Department of Raw Materials Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, analyzed the current situation of comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum in China.
In order to further promote the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum, Chang Jiwen, deputy director of the Resource and Environmental Policy Research Institute of the Development Research Center of the State Council, made four suggestions: First, the comprehensive utilization rate should be regarded as a binding condition for local development of the phosphoric acid industry and an evaluation index for local governments.
The conference announced and implemented relevant policies for the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum, and promoted and exchanged advanced applicable technologies and equipment for the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum.
At the meeting, 9 cooperation projects including the high-value comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum were also signed , and 20 scientific and technological innovation achievements of new waste materials such as the refined production of phosphogypsum and high-quality construction gypsum were commended.
