    RTI Connectivity (RTI) recently announced that the installation of JGA-N, an undersea cable system connecting Chiba, Guam and northern Australia, has begun, with the Japanese company NEC responsible for installation and commissioning, and OCC responsible for cable manufacturing

    According to reports, the initial design capacity of the JGA-N submarine cable system is 24Tbps

    After the landing in Chiba, the system will be extended to two neutral data centers in Tokyo through terrestrial dark fiber, providing customers with access to the RTI network

    In Guam, JGA-N will land at the Guam Network Connection (GNC) facility, Guam's first neutral cable landing station and data center, which will interconnect
    with the Japan-Guam-Australia South (JGA-S) system.
    JGA-S will include the main line between Piti (Guam) and Sydney (Australia) with a total length of approximately 7,081km consisting of two fiber pairs, each designed to have a capacity of at least 18Tbps
