China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association vice president and secretary general Zhaojun Gui said, "Thirteen Five" period, the Yangtze River economic belt at all levels of government and the chemical companies to seriously implement the conservation and restoration campaign of the Yangtze River, along the river and resolutely eliminate 1 Gongli backward production capacity, earnestly fulfill the move off change action plan, vigorously promote new environmental standards and watershed management and control requirements, promote industrial upgrading and chemical industry restructuring Yangtze River economic belt, as " twelve or fifteen " Yangtze River economic belt high quality coordinated development laid a solid foundation.

In view of the green development of the chemical industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt under the new situation, Zhao Jungui suggested that first, we should further study and implement the spirit of the series of instructions on the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and firmly establish a new development concept.

Over the past three years, government departments at all levels have spared no effort in promoting the protection of the Yangtze River and the green development of the chemical industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Ma Zejiang, Deputy Secretary of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor of the Municipal Government, said that Yichang will keep in mind the general secretary’s request to seize major opportunities such as the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the rise of the central region, and the construction of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

At the forum, Song Baoan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Guizhou University, and Li Can, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, put forward suggestions for the development of the green chemical industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the perspective of industrial technology, and brought related solutions.
