Final bid guidelines for Red Troncal, Mexico's 25,000-kilometer-long fibre network, are scheduled to be released
in mid-June.
The project will include a contract awarded to state-owned electric utility CFE for the deployment, operation and maintenance of a pair of dark fiber lines, and the contractor will cover all costs
associated with the project.
At the same time, the successful bidder will receive a license for wholesale broadband access services with a renewable period
of 30 years.
It is understood that the invitation to tender for this fiber optic network will be released in September 2018, and the tender will be announced
in October/November.
