Vocus, a cable service provider, has signed a contract to build the Australian-Singapore cable system ASC to connect the Northwest Cable System NWCS in Port Hedland, with a total length of 1,000 kilometers and a cost of about US$100 million

According to reports, this is the last section
of the submarine cable system DJSC of Darwin-Jakarta-Singapore in Australia with a total investment of up to $500 million.
The DJSC cable system will provide 40Tbps capacity
between Perth, Darwin, Port Hedland, Christmas Island, Indonesia and Singapore.
The DJSC will interconnect the 4,600km ASC system between Perth and Singapore and the 2,100km NWCS system between Port Hedland and Darwin, with construction
expected to be completed by mid-2023.
