Recently, China Overseas Chemical Hainan Fine Chemical Project (Acrylonitrile Plant Project) (hereinafter referred to as "Acrylonitrile Project") passed the mechanical completion acceptance of the group company, marking that the acrylonitrile project has completed a 24-month engineering construction work and began to enter the stage of trial production, and China Overseas Chemical has taken a solid step
towards the transformation and upgrading of chemical and new materials.

The detailed design and construction of the acrylonitrile project of China Overseas Chemical began on July 1, 2020, mainly constructing a 200,000 tons/year acrylonitrile plant, a 70,000 tons/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant, and a 214,000 tons/year waste acid recovery (SAR) plant, which is scheduled to be put into operation
in early 2023.
After the completion of the project, it can give full play to the synergistic advantages of raw materials and public works of Oriental Petrochemical and Fudao Company, extend the industrial chain of propylene, liquid ammonia, methanol and other resources, and further enhance the added value
of products.
At the same time, it will further promote the national South China Sea oil and gas development strategy and the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, as well as the group's enhancement development strategy and the transformation and upgrading
of CNOOC.
