The 800 kV UHV project between northern Shaanxi and Hubei ± is one of the national key construction projects, as a large energy channel of "west-to-east power transmission" and "north-south power supply", realizing the direct connection
between the energy base in northern Shaanxi and the load center in central China.
The UHV project was launched in February 2020, starting from the Shaanbei converter station in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province in the north to the Wuhan converter station in Wuhan City, Hubei Province in the south, passing through four provinces of Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Hubei, with a total length of 1,137 kilometers and a total investment of 18.
