On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guidance Catalog for the First Batch of Application Demonstrations of Key New Materials" (2021 version), which will be implemented from January 1, 2022

The guidance catalogue includes a total of 304 categories in three categories: advanced basic materials, key strategic materials, and cutting-edge new materials

Advanced basic materials include advanced iron and steel materials, advanced non-ferrous metal materials, advanced chemical materials, advanced inorganic non-metallic materials, and other materials, a total of 198 kinds

According to the list, advanced chemical materials include: special rubber and other polymer materials, engineering plastics, membrane materials, new electronic chemical materials, and other advanced chemical materials, a total of 69 kinds
