The 2019 edition of the World Submarine Cable Map has been officially released

The new map depicts 420 submarine cable systems and 1,106 cable landing stations in the world today, including those already in operation, under construction, and expected to be operational by the end of 2021
.

World Submarine Cable Map 2019 Edition

TeleGeography, which is responsible for the 2019 edition of the world's submarine cable map, said that between 2016 and 2020, a total of 107 submarine cable systems were deployed around the world, with a total length of more than 400,000 kilometers and a total value of more than US$13.

The World Submarine Cable Map, released in March 2018, depicts 366 submarine cable systems and 1,006 landing stations that are currently under construction or are expected to be fully operational
