At 20 o'clock on October 2, the world's highest voltage level UHV transmission project - Changji-Guquan ± 1100 kV UHVDC transmission project was fully electrified, and the enriched power from western China was directly connected to the East China power grid
.
According to reports, that night, the low-end converter of the Changji converter station pole 1 located in the Junggar Basin was successfully unlocked, which marked that the electric energy from the western energy base was officially transmitted to East
China through an ultra-high voltage line of more than 3,000 kilometers.
In the next two months, the Changji converter station and the Guquan converter station at both ends of the project will gradually complete the two-stage end-to-end system commissioning, and the line voltage level is expected to rise to 1100 kV
by the end of the year.
Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV UHVDC transmission project is currently the world's highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity, the longest transmission distance and the most advanced technical level UHVDC transmission project
.
After the project is put into operation at full capacity, it can transmit 66 billion kilowatt-hours
of electricity to East China every year.
