    Thai renewable energy group BCPG plans to invest in a 600 MW wind power project in Laos, which will be the largest wind power project
    in ASEAN.

    BCPG's renewable energy division is acquiring a 45% stake in the Swan wind project through its subsidiary, Impact Energy Asia Development Co, while Impact Electrons Siam will hold a 55% controlling stake
    in the project.

    BCPG expects to invest approximately $840 million
    in wind projects.
    In October this year, BCPG Group and Vietnam State-owned Electric Power Company (EVN) will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA), and then construction will begin, scheduled for completion in 2023

    In addition, BCPG is also working to purchase up to 200 MW of solar power plants
    currently under construction.
    The total cost of the project is estimated to be between
    $100 million and $200 million.
