Recently, the Tata Power Community Development Foundation partnered with Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL) on a solar project
called Suryoday.
The scheme aims to provide electricity
to all households in Tunda village in Gujarat through rooftop solar installations.
Targeting 100% of households in the area, the project will offer a stand-alone rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system that will be connected to the grid without the need for a battery pack

CGPL has identified Tunda village as a model village, is currently in the process of installing 200 solar homes, and has consulted with panchayat in the village

Tata Power noted in a media statement that under the project, 17 households have installed rooftop facilities and connected to
the grid.

for the installation of the roof system project.
The total cost of the Suryoday project is 69,500 rupees (about US$10,297.
