Taiwanese solar cell factory Taiji Energy completed a cash capital increase, raising NT$693 million, which will be used to invest in a new production line
in Vietnam.
When the production line is fully completed, Taiji's global production capacity will reach 1GW.
At present, Taiji's battery production capacity includes: 300MW in Taiwan, 280MW in Kunshan, China, and 400MW in Vietnam, for a total of 980MW.
Through this capital increase, Taiji will add another 200MW of production capacity in Vietnam, which is expected to be in place in the fourth quarter of 2016, and the global production capacity will also exceed 1GW.
