On July 29, Japan's Sumitomo Corporation announced that the company will participate in the construction and operation
of offshore wind farms in the UK.
In early August, the company will partner with four companies, including German power company RWE and Siemens, a major German windmill company, to invest 12.

It is reported that the offshore wind farm adopts a "implantation type" fixed to the seabed by a windmill tower, and the construction site is located in the North Sea off
the coast of the United Kingdom.
The 56 power generation turbines have a power generation capacity of about 330,000 kilowatts
.
The electricity sent out is sold
to the British Power Company.
It is expected to be completed in 2018 with a total operating cost of approximately JPY 200 billion
.
