Recently, State Grid Qinghai Electric Power, China Electric Power Research Institute and Tibet Electric Power Research Institute jointly developed the "Experimental Research and Application of Electrified Operation of Transmission Lines in High Altitude Areas" through the appraisal
of the China Electrical Engineering Association.
It is understood that the altitude range of electrified operation of the project will be increased to 5500 meters, filling the gap of electrified operation of transmission lines at high altitudes at home and abroad, and reaching the international leading level

At present, State Grid Qinghai Electric Power has carried out more than 360 electrified operations of transmission lines in high-altitude areas, forming a mature high-altitude electrified operation workflow, protective measures and operation plans, effectively reducing the maintenance time of high-voltage transmission lines in high-altitude areas, ensuring the safe and stable operation of transmission lines in Qinghai Power Grid, and promoting the technical level of electrified operation of transmission lines and the rapid development
of electrified operation equipment manufacturing.
