Recently, sPower, a major U.
S.
solar developer, announced that it has signed a 22-year power purchase agreement with CleanPowerSF to build a 100 MW solar project
in Lancaster, California.
CleanPowerSF is a California Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) administered by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to serve
the city and county of San Francisco.
sPower's San Pablo Circuit solar project is expected to enter commercial operation in 2019 and generate enough renewable energy to power more than 87,000 San Francisco homes
.
It is understood that the project will create about 500 jobs during construction and 10 full-time jobs
during operation.
The San Pablo Circuit project will be part of sPower's large-scale solar portfolio in the Antelope Valley, totaling more than 600MW.
This is California's fourth PPA agreement signed with CCA
