The "White Paper" clarified that China Southern Power Grid will rely on powerful "electricity + computing power", through massive information data analysis and high-performance computing technology, to discover the laws and potential risks of power grid operation, and realize the safe and stable operation of the power system and the large-scale optimization of resources.

As of the end of 2020, the proportion of non-fossil energy installed capacity and electricity in the five southern provinces has reached 56% and 53% respectively, ranking the top in the world; wind power and photovoltaic power generation utilization rates have both reached 99.

According to the "White Paper", in the next 10 years, the five southern provinces will add 200 million kilowatts of new energy installed capacity, an increase of 22%; by 2030, the proportion of non-fossil energy installed capacity of China Southern Power Grid will increase to 65%, and the proportion of power generation will increase The ratio increased to 61%.

Wu Baoying, chairman of the China Southern Power Grid Energy Institute, said that the new power system with new energy as the main body presents the three characteristics of "digital empowerment, flexible and open, green and efficient"; on the other hand, the new power system will also accelerate the terminal energy consumption.
