The Trade Commission of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the Trade Commission) said on the 27th that it will conduct anti-dumping investigations on imported polyamide films originating in China, Thailand, and Indonesia, as well as aluminum hydroxide products originating in China and Australia.
The Trade Commission stated that the Korean polyamide film manufacturer "JK Mertials" and the natural gas chemical plant manufacturer "KC" claimed that the imports of polyamide film and aluminum hydroxide products from the above-mentioned countries and regions caused losses to the domestic industry, and they complained to the trade in this regard.
Polyamide films are mainly used for the packaging of food, pharmaceuticals, detergents and other products or the flexible packaging of electrolytes for secondary batteries
The Trade Commission will conduct preliminary investigations and formal investigations in accordance with the World Trade Organization (WTO) anti-dumping agreement and relevant domestic regulations, and finally decide whether to impose anti-dumping duties on them
