Japan's Sony has pledged to meet all its energy needs
with renewable energy by 2040.

Sony said the Clean Energy pledge would cover all the electricity used to make TVs and cameras, as well as its content creation businesses

In addition to purchasing existing solar facilities and purchasing green-certified electricity, Sony will achieve this
by installing distributed capacity, mainly in the form of solar panels, on the roofs of its production facilities.
Sony aims to reach the initial milestone
of 30% of its electricity coming from clean energy by 2030.
So far this year, global businesses have procured 7.
