Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has launched the fourth round of solar project tenders in Rajasthan to develop 1,785 MW of solar projects
.
The deadline for online submission of bids is April 15, 2021, and the results of bids will be announced
on April 20.
The successful bidder will have to submit Rs 800,000 (approximately $10,944) as a bank bond
for performance.
The scheduled date for the full capacity of the project is 18 months
from the effective date of the PPA.
According to the tender documents, the electricity procured by SECI from the project will be sold to the Electricity Distribution Company (DISCOM)
in Rajasthan.
For each project, the minimum capacity will be 10 MW and the maximum capacity will be 1785 MW.
Item capacity should be expressed
as an integer value only.
The project should be designed to interconnect
with the nearest substation of a public power transmission company (STU) with a voltage class of 33 kV or higher.
The responsibility for establishing a connection to the STU's transmission system will be borne by the developer, who shall bear the expense
.
The declared annual capacity utilization rate (CUF) must not be less than 17%
under any circumstances.
SECI may, at its discretion, purchase additional generation exceeding 10% of the contracted energy ceiling set by the annual CUF
.
Last November, SECI set a record auction for a 1,070 MW solar project in Rajasthan, with a price of $0.

for electricity.
The price is approximately 15.
