Sinochem News recently, SK Chemicals (Seoul, South Korea), a subsidiary of SK Group, acquired 10% of the shares of Shuyang Company in Guangdong Province, China.

SK Chemical said that the technology used by Shuyang can promote the chemical decomposition of waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

In addition, SK Chemicals has obtained the exclusive right to operate chemically recycled raw materials and chemically recycled PET related products in the Korean market.

SK Chemical Company has announced plans to launch the chemical recycling copolyester brand by the third quarter of 2021.
