On December 14, the reporter learned from the Information Office of Sinopec that Sinopec's first self-developed megawatt-level proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis water hydrogen production unit was successfully started up in Yanshan Petrochemical, producing qualified high-purity hydrogen
.
The project has an annual output of 180 tons of hydrogen, and the whole production process achieves zero carbon and zero pollutant emissions, marking the industrial application of Sinopec's complete set of hydrogen production technology by electrolysis of water proton exchange membrane, which will effectively help the development of
China's hydrogen energy industry chain.
The project is jointly developed and constructed by the Academy of Stone Sciences and Yanshan Petrochemical, and applies the single-tank megawatt-level PEM electrolysis water hydrogen production equipment
with the highest degree of localization.
Sinopec adopts the design concept of integrated design and integrated skid, and the overall layout and pipeline optimization design are carried out around the electrolyzer, and the equipment covers an area of less than 40 square meters
.
After being put into operation, the annual output of hydrogen is 180 tons
.
It is reported that the project adopts "green electricity", and the "green hydrogen" produced is mainly sold to Beijing, Hebei, Shandong and other regions
.
As the largest hydrogen production and supply enterprise in Beijing, Yanshan Petrochemical has been included in the list of key hydrogen production enterprises in Beijing hydrogen fuel cell city demonstration group in Fangshan District and Daxing District, Beijing, with a daily hydrogen supply capacity of 4.

In the next step, Sinopec will accelerate the iteration of catalyst and membrane electrode technology, integrate related industrial chains, further reduce device costs, and improve the market competitiveness
