After the German Singulus Technologies announced the signing of a pre-contract with a Chinese building materials subsidiary for the supply of CIGS component production machines, the German company confirmed that it has signed a legally binding contract
.
Singulus Technologies has signed a legally binding contract with a subsidiary of China National Building Materials (CNBM) to supply CIGS thin-film photovoltaic module production machines
.
The German manufacturer of photovoltaic production equipment signed an upfront contract last week, making it the largest order
in the company's history.
Stefan Rinck, CEO of Singulus Technologies, said: "The agreement with state-owned company CNBM is worth 110 million euros ($123 million), and financing for the project will be finalized
soon.
The key technologies supplied under this contract will be used in the manufacture of CIGS solar modules, which is important to us and confirms our leading position
in the industry.
”
All machines will be sent to two high-performance CIGS solar module production sites in China, with an initial output of 150MW
each.
This is good news for Singulus Technologies, whose financial results for the first quarter of 2016 were poor and are yet to get back on track
.
The impact of this agreement on 2016-2017 financial results will be reviewed
