5MWp system developed by Sunseap Group at Singapore's Jurong Seaport has become the world's largest port-based solar power system
.
In many different places, solar systems have sprung up
.
The power generation system designed for Singapore's large Jurong Seaport System will be put into operation
.
The solar array will offset 60% of the port's electricity demand, saving 5,200 tons of CO2 emissions
per year.

a warehouse at Jurong Seaport.
The 9.
5MWp system is expected to generate more than 12 million kWh of electricity annually, making it the world's largest seaport-based solar power system
.
Jurong Port proudly claims to be a leader in environmental sustainability in the transport and logistics industry and also feeds its excess electricity to the national grid
.
Mr.
Ooi Boon Hoe, Chief Executive Officer of Port Jurong, commented, "I am delighted that Port Jurong and Sunseap have successfully collaborated to bring this project to fruition
