Recently, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was rated by customer Ørsted Energy as the preferred supplier
of Taiwan's 900 MW Dachanghua offshore wind power project.
It is understood that the project includes SG 8.
0-167 DD offshore wind turbines and service agreements
in the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the agreement, which becomes the final contract, Siemens Gamesa will build a nacelle assembly facility
near the port of Taichung.
The facility is expected to be completed by 2021, exceeding the local content creation timeline
set by the Taiwanese government.
The wind turbine towers for these projects will be supplied locally through partners of CS Wind and Chin Fong in Taiwan, meeting official requirements
for local wind turbine component content.
Offshore construction of the project will begin
in 2021.

Grand Changhua represents a great leap
forward for SGRE Taiwan.
