Spanish wind giant Siemens Gamesa announced this week that it has secured an order
for 1 GW of onshore wind in Turkey.
On the 27th local time, Siemens Gamesa disclosed that the company formed a consortium with the Turkish company Kalyon Enerji Group and the Turkish construction engineering company Turkerler Holding Group to win the bid for domestic wind power project orders
of up to 1 GW.
Under the order, Siemens Gamesa will be responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of onshore wind turbines of up to 1 GW and a 15-year maintenance contract
.
In addition, the winning contract includes a 15-year power purchase agreement PPA
.
The consortium successfully won the bid at 3.
48 cents per kWh and promised to add at least 700 MW of wind power by
2022.
At the same time, the consortium will also build a local engine room plant to meet the local supply requirements
