    Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has won two contracts to supply and maintain its 34 SG 5.
    0-145 wind turbines with a capacity of 170MW
    at two locations in Chile.

    Specifically, the first is the Cabo Leones III project, part of a 600MW Cabo Leones cluster located in Chile's Atacama desert, with an installed capacity of 110MW and turbine powers ranging
    from 2MW to the latest SGRE 4.
    X platform.
    Now, SGRE will supply 22 SG5.
    0-145 turbines
    to Spanish independent power producer Ibereólica Renovables.

    The project is expected to commence operations no later than June next year, with SGRE to complete delivery
    in December this year.

    The other is a 60 MW order to expand the 115MW Cabo Leones 1 wind power project
    in Comuna de Freirina, northern Chile.
    As part of the joint venture between EDF Renewables Chile and Ibereólica Renovables, SGRE will supply, transport and install 12 SG 5.

    The wind farm is currently equipped with 55 SGRE turbines ranging from 2.

    SGRE will complete the delivery of the turbines between November 2020 and January 2021, with commissioning scheduled for July next year
