Siemens Gamesa said it will continue to strengthen its position
as Spain's leading turbine OEM.
The company recently announced a 233 MW new wind contract
with WPD, Brial, as well as a major energy company.
All of these items fall within the scope of renewable capacity allocated in recent auctions
.
The company will develop eight wind farms and install 70 wind turbines in the Spanish provinces of Zaragoza and Valladolid in the first half of next year
.
It will also operate and maintain all of these new facilities
.
Most wind turbine orders are SG 3.
4-132, one of
the company's cutting-edge and most efficient turbines.
The company will also install SG 2.
1-114 and SG 2.
6-126 fans at some of these facilities
.
Most of the blades of these turbines will be produced
at the Aoiz plant in Navarre, the As Samozas plant in Galicia and the Moroccan plant in Tangier.
Meanwhile, the cabin will be produced at the Ágreda plant in Soria, which has seen a 20%
increase in production last year.
More specifically, the company has been authorized to supply 39 SG 3.
4-132 turbines
to WPD, an independent power supplier to the wind farm in Valladolid.
It will also provide maintenance services for the facilities for five years
.
In addition, Siemens Gamesa has contracted to supply Brial with an additional 20 turbines for wind farm development
in Zaragoza.
The turbines installed in these complexes are a hybrid of the company's SG 3.

1-114 and SG 2.
6-126 models with a total capacity of 62 MW.
The company will maintain and operate the wind farm for up to 10 years
