Siemens Energy said on Tuesday it would no longer participate in the tender
for coal-fired power plants.
The group also released its fourth quarter (July-September) results for the first time since it was spun off from its former parent company Siemens in September
.
The group said it would now review the impact
of its decision on employees and factories.

Siemens Energy, which holds a 67% stake in wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa, revealed that earnings before interest, taxes, taxes and amortization (EBITA), excluding special items, fell 87% to EUR 70 million in the fourth quarter due to impairment and restructuring costs
.
The company still expects sales growth of 2 to 12 percent in 2021 and adjusted EBITDA before special items to increase by 3 to 5 percent
