Recently, the methane emission test project team of the energy monitoring station of the Shengli Oilfield Technology Testing Center completed the survey and testing of the methane emission of the Northwest Oilfield Branch
The test covered more than 120 sets of equipment such as oil and gas wells, compressors, various storage tanks, slop oil (water) pools, etc.
In order to ensure the quality of methane emission test and better carry out methane emission control, the project team combined with the survey and test situation in 2020, considered the unique dilute oil and gas treatment process of Northwest Oilfield, communicated with relevant departments of Northwest Oilfield for many times, and selected representatives.
At the same time, the LDAR leak detection, portable methane detector test, and gas chromatographic analysis of the gas sample triple comparison verification method are used to ensure the accuracy of the test results and provide effective data support for the next step of treatment technology optimization and implementation
The center gives full play to its own technological advantages, provides high-end technical services for energy conservation and emission reduction, continues to aim at Sinopec’s methane emission control targets in 2023 and 2025, carefully conducts methane emission testing and combing test data analysis, and preferentially implements methane emission control Measures to continuously improve methane monitoring methods, upgrade monitoring and accounting techniques, complete testing accurately and efficiently, and provide strong technical support for the completion of the group company’s methane control and emission targets
