Recently, Shanxi Yangquan Coal Industry Group and the American Gas Technology Research Institute (GTI) signed a memorandum of technical cooperation on
coal gasification.
According to the agreement, Yangmei Group will cooperate with GTI to develop new coal gasification technology and build the first industrial demonstration unit
.

It is understood that after the successful demonstration of the coal gasification technology, it will provide a new technology
for the gasification of high-ash melting point pulverized coal in Shanxi and even the whole country.
The project has been listed as a key coal-based scientific and technological research project
in Shanxi Province in 2014.
