Seychelles publishes tender for 4 MW floating PV projects

Seychelles' Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change announced that it has launched a tender letter
of intent to develop, finance, own and operate a 4 MW floating PV project in the Maelelle-Rossa Lagoon.

The tender will be supported by the African Legal Support Fund (ALSF) and launched
within the framework of the African Energy Forum in Mauritius.

The Seychelles solar PV project will be the first of its kind in Africa and one of the first brine floating solar PV plants in the
world.
The installation has the potential to serve as a model
for viable renewable energy solutions and be scaled up elsewhere.
