6 MSBR (CSBR) process
The MSBR process is a sewage treatment process developed in the early 1980s.
It is an improved sequential batch activated sludge process.
The essence of the process is the series connection of the A2/O process and the SBR process
.
It adopts single-tank multi-cell method, continuous operation under constant water level, saves many valves, adds sludge return system, and does not need to set up primary sedimentation tank and secondary sedimentation tank
Figure 7-8 MSBR process flow
The working principle is shown in Figure 7-9
.
Sewage and activated sludge after denitrification enter the anaerobic zone together, where the phosphorous sludge fully releases phosphorus, and then the mud-water mixture alternately enters the anoxic zone and the aerobic zone to complete denitrification and aerobic degradation of organic matter.
The MSBR process has a high degree of automation, simple and compact structure, small footprint, and low soil construction cost; it can maintain a high sludge concentration, so that the sludge has good sedimentation and dehydration performance; good dephosphorization, denitrification and organic degradation effects , The effluent quality is good
.
The MSBR system is mainly used in North America and South America; Seoul, South Korea, built the first sewage treatment plant in Asia that adopted this process; the domestic Shenzhen Yantian sewage treatment plant adopted the MSBR process for the first time.
The recent sewage treatment scale is 12×10 4 m 3 /d.
The long-term scale is 20×10 4 m 3 /d
