The UK's Sentrick Group has agreed to acquire a 50% stake
in Barrow Green Gas (BGG), which claims to be the UK's largest biomethane supplier.
Sentrick acquires half of the country's largest biomethane supplier
BGG supports biomethane producers by facilitating the supply of natural gas to buyers and providing green gas certificates
to energy suppliers.
It is reportedly the only gas company
in the UK focused on the green gas market.
Sentrick Group hopes the new partnership will strengthen its ability to offer customers a wider selection of renewable energy products and provide growth opportunities
for BGG.
Cassim Mangerah, Co-General Manager of Energy Marketing and Trading at Sentrick Group, said: "We expect the biomethane market to continue to grow across the UK and Europe, driven by supportive regulations and growing customer demand
for renewable energy.
We believe this partnership creates a unique platform for us to grow the green gas market globally and meet the changing needs
of our customers as they transition to renewable energy.
