Sembcorp Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, announced that it has secured a 50 MW solar project
from the Singapore Economic Development Board.
As the winning bidder for the project, Sembcorp will build, own, operate and maintain grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 50 MW
within 848 HDB roof blocks at West Coast and Choa Chu Kang Town Councils and 27 other government sites.
The deal makes Sembcorp a major solar company
in Singapore.
Sembcorp's combined solar capacity in Singapore has now expanded to 104 MW of capacity, located at more than 1,500 locations
in the country.

Sembcorp's rooftop solar systems are located above
public residential buildings, commercial and industrial sites, and government premises.
"As a homegrown company with an internationally built renewable energy portfolio, Sembcorp is committed to creating a sustainable future
for all.
We are very excited to apply our global expertise domestically and contribute to
