Recently, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has opened a tender for the development of a
750 MW grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan.
The developer will be responsible for land acquisition, transmission and grid connections, and long-term open access
.
They are responsible for building, owning and operating (BOO) on the basis of building photovoltaic projects
.
SECI will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the winning bidder for a period of 25 years and a maximum tariff of Rs 2.

It is understood that the minimum capacity of the project is 10MW, the maximum capacity is 750MW, and the project allocation is increased by 10MW
at one time.
If SECI is able to find a buyer for this excess generation, SECI will purchase more than 10% of excess generation beyond the capacity utilization rate (CUF) for the declared year at a fixed tariff of 75% of the PPA tariff
.
Under the recent revision of the Ministry of Power's solar procurement guidelines, which allow purchasers to extend the deadline for commissioning projects, project developers will have 21 months from the date of signing the PPA to the date of completion of the project
.
In SECI's tender, projects of 250MW and above will be completed
within 24 months from the date of signing the PPA.
It was revealed that the deadline for bidding for the project is September 14 this year
