UK Energy Secretary Paul Wheelhouse has officially opened a £540,000 facility
in Scotland.

Scotland's new control centre manages 5 GW of global renewable energy assets
Natural Power's ControlCentre in Dumfries and Galloway will oversee more than 175 renewable energy assets
with a total capacity of 5 GW.
These assets are located in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and the United States
.
Project types include onshore and offshore wind, biomass, solar and hydropower projects
.
Natural Power said the new investment ensures ControlCentre complies with all EU cybersecurity rules to protect customers' projects and power grids
.
One of the assets under management is Fred Olson Renewable Energy's 61.
5 MW Brockloch Rig wind farm
