Sinochem News recently, Sasol announced that the company and the South African Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) have signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly promote South Africa's green hydrogen economy
.
Sasol said that the company signed the memorandum of cooperation because the partners recognized that South Africa has unique advantages in developing the hydrogen economy, including the ability to use its world-leading renewable resource endowments and infrastructure, as well as Sasol’s advanced Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
Technology
It is reported that Sasol and IDC will cooperate on a non-exclusive basis, advocate policy frameworks in relevant international forums, and develop pilot and commercial-scale hydrogen projects to create feasible and sustainable solutions
.
At the same time, both parties intend to use international financing schemes to promote projects that are conducive to the country's energy transition and economic development goals
