SAIC Motor recently announced a private placement plan, the company intends to raise a total of no more than RMB 15 billion, which will be used for new energy vehicles, intelligent mass customization, forward-looking technology and Internet of Vehicles, auto services and auto finance projects

It is reported that most of the funds raised by SAIC will be used for new energy vehicle related projects, including SAIC's own brand passenger car energy-saving and new energy vehicle new product projects; SAIC's own brand commercial vehicle new energy vehicle new product project; SAIC Transmission, Hybrid EDU transmission capacity expansion and product upgrade projects will use the raised funds of approximately CNY 7.

According to the plan, among the 30 new energy products, there are 13 pure electric vehicles, and 17 plug-in hybrid products, which will also include commercial vehicles, as well as new energy products of joint venture brands such as SAIC-GM and Shanghai Volkswagen, including Roewe 550PHEV mass-produced in February next year, Roewe 950PHEV mass-produced in June, and MG Ruiteng PHEV mass-produced in October, the above three models will be introduced to the market

Up to now, SAIC New Energy Products has launched two models, Roewe 550 plug-in hybrid and Roewe E50 electric version, and a number of new models
