Russian oil and oil giants cooperate to develop low-carbon technology

Sinochem News recently, Roseneft announced that it will cooperate with Equinor and ExxonMobil to develop low-carbon solutions in joint projects and use alternatives in new projects.

Rosneft said that in the signing of the agreement on September 28, Rosneft and Equinor will conduct an assessment of the cooperative project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and strive to achieve zero venting of associated gas by 2030

Equinor also issued a statement saying: "In order to support the goals of the Paris Agreement, Equinor and Rosneft will jointly develop low-carbon solutions and reduce the carbon footprint of cooperative projects

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Rosneft and ExxonMobil shows that the two companies will work together to develop low-carbon technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Since the beginning of this year, Rosneft has signed carbon management agreements with BP, Baker Hughes and several Japanese companies, and will continue to work hard to achieve the 2035 climate target
