Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia is ready to shift oil supplies to countries
that do not impose price restrictions or reduce oil production, according to a report by the Russian Satellite News Agency on November 22.
Commenting on the possible price cap on Russian oil, he said: "We do not intend to supply oil and petroleum products
to countries that apply the price cap rule.
”
Instead, according to Nowak, Russia will shift oil supplies to market-oriented or production reduction partners
.
Novak added that the maximum price limit on Russian oil could lead to a shortage of resources in the market and problems
with energy supply.
He said the imposition of a price cap "would lead to lower investment, reduced supply and a shortage of supply of oil and any traded commodities that might be applied to such a mechanism in the future.
